Samuel Miranda

Sami Miranda is a teacher, poet and visual artist. Born and raised in the Bronx he makes his home in Washington, DC. His work has been included in print and online journals and anthologies. His chapbook Departure was published in 2017 by Central Square Press and his full length collection We Is is forthcoming in March of 2019 from Zozobra Publishing. He has performed at venues that include The Kennedy Center, Smithsonian Museum of African American History and Culture, Smithsonian Museum of American Art, St. Mary’s College of Maryland and the University of Nebraska. His art work has been exhibited in DC, New York and Puerto Rico and is included in university and private collections.

Sami Miranda es un maestro, poeta y artista visual. Nacido y criado en el Bronx, hace su hogar en Washington, DC. Su trabajo ha sido incluido en revistas y antologías impresas y en páginas virtuales. Su primer libro “Departure” fue publicado en 2017 por Central Square Press y su colección completa “We Is” se publicará este marzo de 2019 de Zozobra Publishing. Ha presentado en lugares que incluyen el Kennedy Center, el Smithsonian Museum of African American History and Culture, el Smithsonian Museum of American Art, el colegio de St. Mary’s en Maryland y la Universidad de Nebraska.
